It is with great joy we announce that our new pastor, Benjamin Swenson, wife Michelle, and their three lovely children have arrived to lead our church in truth and love. Come visit and meet this loving family!
Ben comes to us from Muncy Creek Baptist Church in Hyden, KY, where he has been Pastor since 2009. Ben and his wife, Michelle, have been married since 2000 and have 3 children; Jake 9, Cora 6 and Ruby 4. Ben received his Bachelor's degree from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, KY, and Michelle received her Masters degree in special education from California State University.
Before going away to school Ben lived in Cedar City, Utah, and was active in Red Hills Southern Baptist Church.
Ben says that "My prayer in my ministry is that God would continue to teach me daily those things necessary to make me into what He would want me to be."

Join us for a Tuesday morning bible study that will enlighten and encourage you in your understanding of serving the church body. Meetings will be in the North Campus Fellowship room, from 9:30 am to noon. The work books are only $5!
This study is by Thom S. Rainer, President and CEO, of LifeWay Christian Resources.
Theme: “What would happen if people didn’t choose a church based on what they could receive from it but what they could give to it? What if they joined not only to be encouraged but to edify; not just to be served but to use their gifts and resources to serve? Dr. Rainer bravely and insightfully answers these questions in this study."
Join us Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the South Campus as we start a Bible study out of the Book of James.
Meet with us every-other-Tuesday morning, 9:30 am, in the conference room at JBs Restaurant in Hurricane for awesome fellowship. Call Jim Hodges, facilitator, at 801-541-8747, for more information.
To all ladies interested in working on the Prayer Quilts: Our next meetings are scheduled as follows: September 19th. Meetings are held in the North Campus fellowship room from 9:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. Even if you don't sew, you can help in other ways, not to mention the fellowship, prayers and "nibbles." Contact Leah Osiek at 635-9200 or Eve Greco at 435-877-1198 if you need more information.
Did you know our church has a Prayer Request and Praise chain? We do, and if you are in need of prayer for anything in your life (aren't we all?) please feel you can share whatever you wish so the prayer warriors of our body can lift you up to our loving Creator and Savior. You can send your request to Leah Osiek at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will send it to everyone on the prayer chain. If you would like to be a part of praying for others on the prayer chain, just let Leah know your email address. You will be so blest!!
